Believe this to be the highest for some time.

don.t really understand were this rate comes from ..i am looking at garanti rates at the moment ..and it shows 2,4875..and it should stay like that until tuesday..:angel:

You will never get the XE rate in the banks as this shows the higher rate of the spread between buying and selling rates. What it is good for is showing the trend if you follow it through the day as the banks will follow it (esp Garanti, which I watch).

...cheers Ian ..thats more realistic ..especially with the Doviz they are always a lira or two below the banks ..i always use my own banks (Deniz and isbank) to change sterling ..before i got a bank account in turkey i did use the Doviz, but if i was cashing a large sum of sterling ..for instance£1,000 i would ask for a higher rate ..:fish2:
