Wholemeal Bread
Sinangil have just started doing Wholemeal Flour / Kepekli Un, so I thought I'd have ago at at making a loaf.


The ingredients I used were;

250 grammes of wholemeal flour
1/2 a cube of dried yeast (Maya)
3 sugar cubes
a pinch of salt
200 ml of warm water

The method

Mix the salt, sugar and the yeast into the warm water until they have all dissolved.

Put the flour into a bowl and gradually mix the liquid into the flour until it has all combined and the mix "cleans" the bowl.

Cover with a cloth and leave to stand in a warm place for a couple of hours.

The mixture will have roughly doubled in volume.

Turn the mixture out onto a board or marble work surface and roughly flatten it. Line a loaf tin with greaseproof paper or a little olive oil and fold the dough into it.

Cook at 200 degrees for about 30 - 40 minutes.

..we buy wholemeal loaves from kipa and there delicious ..they do come whole ..but the girl behind the counter will put them in the slicing machine ..i buy about 4 at a time ..they freeze well..around 1l 60k :321oi:
