Sky news online today have the following report from Minshull Crown Court,
Manchester.
On June 26th 2008, Judge Adrian Smith passed a Community Rehab Order on a 16 year old boy.
This was because he had been found guilty of the rape of a seven year old boy.

Eight days later, the same 16 year old boy raped a 5 year old boy.

At the trial today, the Judge, Peter Larkin, told him[What you did has had a devastating effect upon this boy and his family.]
I would have thought after the first attack, it was obvious this 16 year old was in urgent need of medical attention.

Another pertinent fact in the original decision was that the judge took heed of the first victim's family having taken the time to write a letter to the court to say that as committed Christians they believed in forgiveness and as such the perpetrator should be spared from any type of imprisonment.
The judge subsequently let him out, a few days later he raped a 5 year old !
I am sure somewhere there is a moral to the story, but to be perfectly honest I can't at this time decide what it is.

I wonder how the first family now feel, plus of course the judge.

Glad I don't subscribe to this Christianity thing !

I was reading today about The Fox (Malcolm Fairley)who was imprisoned for 6 life sentences plus 26 years for other offences in 1984 and now is a free man under another identity!

Just because he's 16 he's seen asa boy himself by do gooders . He isn.t a boy ! He's old enough to know what he's doing is wrong . And old enough to go to jail for a long time . If he was 30yrs old everyone would say Pervert / peaophile ect . As for the Christian bit . We had helicopters and army personnel virtually in my garden hunting this vicious man and months of anguish.

Was hoping he would rot in hell for what he did!!!!!!

My youngest daughter is a solicitor {only does mental health} and some of the people she comes across , well!!!!!
They don't even think they have done any wrong,murderers, peados etc., so what chance have you got.

Really I am sick to death of all these evil criminals literally getting away with murder and the like. It's high time the justice system worked for the victims instead of molly coddling these sicko's.

Sorry to sound callous,but little children being abused by paedophiles and women being raped and mauled by these "excuses for human beings"( I can't type what I really think of them!!) should be dealt with FAR more severely than the current system allows. A "person" getting sentenced to a consecutive 140+ years should NEVER be allowed his freedom again. NEVER!!!

The victims of these perpetrators suffer life sentences through no fault of their own and get little,if any,help yet these monsters get the benefit of board and lodgings,free study,health and exercise programmes and support when they are released and now,it seems,new identities?

It always amazes me when anything like this happens, and I blame society as it has become today,( mainly perportrated by the pc brigade), I'd just like to know exactly WHO these faceless pc morons are. So you're a senior citizen and the government says no health care for you, what do you do?
Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of course, this means you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head, and all the health care you need! New teeth, no problem. Need glasses, great. New hip, knees, kidney, lungs, heart? ...All covered.
And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. Plus, because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes!

Am I in a minority of one here (again!!) by thinking that society lost an opportunity in this case to find out more about paedophilia? IMHO the public good would have been best served by getting State agencies involved in investigating what turned a 16 year old into such a monster. Something made him the way he is, whether that be his background/home environment, his social group, pornography, etc. At 16, he is young enough for psychologists and psyciatrists to study him and his background.

Granted, imprisonment after the first offence would have spared his second victim but it would merely have delayed the inevitable because no judge will imprison a 16 year old for the rest of his life. Finding out what made him the way he is could be more beneficial for society in the long term.

Maria, i think that can be done from inside, the fact he is like it is the problem. I've no doubt his background will be he has been abused or whatever but what we have now is what we have.
