Wanted: Good news
We moved here 3 years ago and have just had a new en suite built and moved bedrooms, that's the good news, I say just but I mean it took nearly 18 months to complete a 3 to 4 months job, mainly covid but some brexit issues as well so this week as we moved in we are finding some old stuff we haven't seen for years, this is a treasure to us, doesn't take much !
This was our very first brand new car 1st of August 1990, I look a complete twot in the flying gear but you have to play your part.

Great news. Had a dental check up today and I need a couple of fillings, which I already knew and no surprise.
My appointment is............7th January !!
FFS.
My dentist has been really good, too good in fact. When I had an abscess and phoned for an appointment he could see me in an hour. I had to make an excuse & go the following day, as I now live over 2 hours away from my dentist.

My husband & I both went for check ups last week & are both booked in for a clean on 5th November. We could of been seen much sooner, but I am likely to stay in Turkey until at least the end of October.

I also had 2 xrays of my wisdom teeth at my check up & some banana flavoured polish.

I could of done without the polish, my husband had it as well. No eating or drinking for 30 minutes afterwards. That put paid to our tea & cake in the cafe next to the dentist

Good news is his employer will think twice before not paying wages due ... you don't mess with this worker in not paying his wages

Moment furious digger driver smashes up trucks in row over wages at a Turkish coal mine

A furious coal miner went on a rampage with a 40-tonne digger and crushed the cabs of five tipper trucks, claiming his boss had not paid his wages for a month

The man, identified only as Hakan M, was filmed driving his giant machine towards a line of tipper trucks at the mine near Mount Cudi, in Turkey's Sirnak Province last month.

It is claimed Hakan's uncle, Omar M - who is also his boss - owed him a month's wages, prompting the violent action which seriously damaged the five trucks, worth around £100,000 each.

. . . and the bad news is that no-one else is likely to employ him either. . . .

Well the good news is that the children may now get a better life. It sounds like Social Services have seriously let them down.
I also can't understand how anyone could go near any of the family. They must of all smelt absolutely terrible.

We where contractors and they expect us to go and work in a house like that in Cleator Moor. We all refused and they got cleaners in. There was over 280 bags of took out and about 900 milk bottles with half still milk in and had been left to rot, and the tenants were snobs.

A bit short on good news I'm afraid and I'm sounding more like the Grim Reaper.
Two of our neighbours, who we have known for 36 years are in a bad way.
Sue had a brain haemorrhage 6 months ago and can barely speak. She can't stand and can't feed herself. Her husband Graham has been told that by this time she is unlikely to ever improve, so will need constant care.
Also in our cul-de- sac Laurie was having stomach problems but thought his stay in hospital and surgery had resolved them.
They returned and he drove himself back to hospital yesterday with his wife June accompanying him.
Today, he's taken a turn for the worse (I won't bore you with his medical problems) but June has been told to expect the worst and they would not resuscitate him if he gets worse.
My step dad will most likely have left this world by Christmas and all I could do last week was moan at the fact that our utility supplier had gone bust !!
Reality check comes into play !!
