After probing the West pushing them to the edge, don't be surprised if Putin to gain the initiative doesn't wind it down and offer instead Russian Peacekeepers.. sic to be installed in the region , which a Pandemic stressed West will bite his hand off to accept unfortunately...

President Erdoğan and President of Ukraine Zelenskiy held a joint press conference after the meeting between the delegations and the head to head meeting. Stating that they wish the ceasefire to continue and the conflict to be resolved through dialogue.

Erdogan said, "Our cooperation with Ukraine is not an initiative against third countries." ( in a nod to Putin his fairweather ally in Syria )

Seems Russia has ordered its proxy warlords in occupied Donbas to open artillery fire on other neighbouring warlords and accuse Ukraine of violating the ceasefire agreement as an excuse for further invasion.

I assume its because of the translation but it does read a bit " Dads Army "
???

Beyond scary – remember when Putin destroyed apartment buildings in Moscow etc killing 300+ so that he could blame Chechnya and embark on the second Chechin war.

Putin’s ratings soared, he doesn’t care how many Russians and others die if it advances his position.

Evil personified.

Lots of talk on the radio this morning about Russian troops massing on Ukrainian boarders. Worrying and intimidating.
Robot flame thrower tanks & big 'City Killer' artillery guns - what's to worry about?

Boris is a busted flush financially , he has one or two bits of modern flash kit , but in the main it is just millions of cannon fodder footsoldiers , old tanks , trucks and bombers .
The way to crush him is financially . That is a fight he cannot win by bluster .

Russia’s dangerous military escalation with Ukraine

Moscow is amassing forces on Ukraine’s eastern border and in northern occupied Crimea. The Kremlin’s propaganda machine is working overtime talking about Kyiv’s aggressive actions and spreading disinformation that Ukraine is shelling civilians in the Donbas.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is unhappy—Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took away the media channels from Putin’s ally Viktor Medvedchuk, and a concerned United States conducted a series of high-level telephone calls to reassure Kyiv and demonstrate strong international support for Ukraine in this crisis.
Why is this all happening now? What makes these military actions different from the leadup to Moscow’s invasion in 2014? Will Putin actually strike, and what should the West do now?Moscow is amassing forces on Ukraine’s eastern border and in northern occupied Crimea.
