Turkish Visa + 90 day rule
Hi all just looking for a little info regarding entering Turkey. This year I spent just under 3 months in Turkey due to the country being red in the traffic light system with coronavirus. This means I have almost done my 90 days of 180 days. I want to visit the country again to look at some properties in fethiye as I currently have an apartment in bodrum. Does anyone know of any way that you can get back into the country or who you can contact regarding this situation or is it a no go,
Thank you

Come back and make a resident permit as soon as you come back. But how many days do you have left maybe not enough.

Once you start the process you are allowed to stay as if you have the residency permit already, I’d recommend using an agent, there is one in fethiey not far from the fish market but ive forgotten exactly where.

you Will need all of your paperwork regarding your apartment in bodrum so I can’t see it being a problem, but do it as soon as you enter the country. The police need to visit you at your property as part of the process so going to bodrum and doing it there is your best option. When you move you have to inform immigration as they like to do supprise visits to make sure you are still living there!

We have never had police visit us and have been renewing residences since 2003

I know someone who completed the application process in a day, without an agent. It depends how organised and determined you are.

With an agent the cost was 1460 tl in August but it might have gone up with the dollar rate. I will find out in the next couple of days the boss has just made hers. But if you are under 65 you will need medical insurance that is not worth the pay it's printed on. Which will he about a 1000+ tl but these are 2 year visa prices. Give you an idea of costs. The agent was 100 tl included.

I think the agents are a law unto them self’s! res insurance was 250tl for me, total cost was over 2000tl, but to be fair was done ever so quickly, was escorted to the government office and everything was started swiftly. But like you said the insurance for residency is absolutely useless if you have a medical emergency, you need a different one for that. Next year I’m going it alone with a friend. But was worth it for the first one as I had so little time to sort it out and the stress of not having everything was taken off me.

Dont forget the cost is related to the US dollar exchange rate. If the cost of an RP one year is $80 it's going to be TL1990.4 per couple, or TL995.2 on today's $/TL rates.
