Shake It Baby...
Turkish Swear Words
I found this site that must list every Turkish swearing insult that exists!!

I've put it in here and not the language sub-forums as it's pretty rough stuff so I would strongly advise if you're easily offended not to click on the link.

I would also advise you to use any of these with caution :hehe:

Advance apologies to Shirl and those of you who are trying to teach us all proper Turkish :biggrin1:

OMGoodness! Thats an awful lot of bad language!

On occassion, I get Murat to say English swear words cos with his pronounciation, it makes me laugh. I did teach him a very naughty one, that where I come from in East London has a very pronounced 'T' at the end.

Low and behold, turns out, that If you order a drink of hot water with sugar in it, it is called the same thing!! (different spelling similar pronounciation based on where you come from!)

It's not an IM - it's a pop-up message and would not have been sent to you personally.

Irrespective of what it is pop-up, im, pm, call it whatever you want.

But I totally agree, the post should be removed as soon as possible. There are links to Porn sites, and as a long standing member you should know better.

p.s. I am no prude, and work with what you would call the criminal element, and some of your posts and I have never even heard that type of language from them

So Ceemac do the proper thing and remove your post

Ceemac's post clearly stated " if your easily offended Dont click on the link " I found it very amuseing and i've heard my Turkish husband say some of the things listed . Especialy when driveing in Istanbul . So what if theres porn on it you dont have to look at the porn .I just read the article . Theres plenty in Amsterdam but i still go there Its on sky and cable TV so do we cancel sky ? and theres a chanel on Turkish TV too . So as we are adults we no all this exists And i for one just ignore it Diane

I have, but always assumed we were talking about a different hole, one that we all share! If you see what I mean! Not that we have the same one, but we all have one the same! Oh I am off to bed, I seem to be digging my own little hole!

You can write all over a wall, wet paint, you can put " POISON " all over a bottle, you can even say this may offend don't go near it. But sadly some people, all they want to do is complain.

Thanks mate, i enjoyed it and have bookmarked it. I have seen worse in the daily papers.

Sandy, I always attempt never to post anything that may gratuitously offend - if there's anything I'm concerned about in something I'm posting, I state clearly on it that it has some 'dodgy' content.

I posted this in the padded room and with a cautionary note on it - not only did you go to the padded room (which the site owner states 'If you are easily offended or have a sensitive disposition please stay out'), but you then clicked on the link to take you to the site that I warned about.

So don't talk to me about doing 'the proper thing' please :biggrin1:

Martyn, for whatever reason you edited my post, the comment although mildly derogatory, was not personal, i did not name any other poster in my missive. I merely made the point that " someone who clearly ignores a politely written but clear warning not to visit a post lest they be offended, then does so, and complains " must be crazy.

For whatever reason you edited it, it was not for a personal reference.a

The level of moderation on this board is getting somewhat oppressive.
