.If you have not visited HS yet i would advise you so to do , imho it is isolated and the drive is not easy particularly in the dark from BJV airport . Best of luck whatever you decide to do . No i do not live there but have visited and done the drive repeatedly .

I agree with Steve. The place is billed as Gulluk and that is about as accurate as saying that Bodrum Castle is in Kos.
It takes the best part of an hour to drive and I've only ever done it in daytime with no particular rush.
Gulluk can be accessed in the main season by a little boat which takes you directly into Gulluk town.
The problem is, it has limited times for the 30 minute journey and I've watched Horizon Sky residents on many occasion socialising in town, then having to depart at about 10pm on the last boat trip back.
It has one other fault - A favourite, but simple event for us, was to watch the late afternoon sun turn into a glorious sunset directly in front of us as we sat on the terrace of an evening with a drink to hand. That cannot be achieved from Horizon Sky as the entire complex faces towards Gulluk and away from the Sunset meaning you can only see it by walking to the top of the hill it is located on.
Having now most likely have spoiled your purchase idea, I can offer the alternative.
Consider Gulluk itself.
The feeling of arriving at the airport and either hiring a car or getting into a taxi to be in the town centre in under 10 minutes is a great bonus after a 4 hour flight.
To have an apartment close to town gives you all the amenities on tap.
Consider Seaview (1,2,3) apartments if you want to be a five minute walk into town or if you don't mind being a bit further away, there is Beach residence, or Olive tree apartments.
Good luck.

I don't have a link, sorry, but in normal times we rent one there from a friend.
I don't want to be telling you things you might already know but if you were about to be a 'newbie' to Gulluk' and gave no prior knowledge of the place I can happily assist as an ex-owner but more importantly I can make enquiries for a suitable place to rent so that you could visit and search out a suitable place in order to be fully informed of all you need to know before buying anything.

Don’t limit yourself to Gulluk only. Plenty of other places on the peninsula.

Morning to you all.

The sun rises are spectacular and the benefit of this is that after about 4pm the sun is not blaring into your apartment which could be unbearable during the summer months & also it warms the apartment during the winter months, which for us is ideal.

As for the little boat, it has a capacity of approx 40 people & runs until 11.30pm in the summer with many crossings throughout the day.

We have a lot of friends in Gulluk some of which have stayed at our home & they have all absolutely loved the complex & the views are second to none.

The drive takes 40 mins to both the airport and Gulluk and to be fair it's so scenic and I don't tire of it. We have just returned from being at HS for nearly a year and never felt isolated as we have local restaurants and supermarkets. We also have a small shop, restaurant/bar onsite that is open from April until November both of which are on par price wise with Gulluk.

Wishing you all safe travels
