Those gremlins again!
When I try to boot up 9 times out of 10 I get a black screen and an error message. But if I fiddle around and reboot it sometimes comes right again.

This is the error message…

Sorry for the cr@p pic.

Any ideas how to fix this without the use of a 6kg hammer?

Thanks

JC.You have missing files in your windows or boot registry.Try inserting your windows disc on startup or if you don't have one the file/files will be on your Windows Partition. Have you changed your Windows password or info lately?.

Haven't changed any passwords recently but see that I can download a Windows disc…

But a problem with step #1 “Find your Windows 7 product key”

Strange though that sometimes it boots OK & sometimes not.

But you’ve set me on the right path, thanx.

All very strange – by midday I usually have a score of notifications from all over (inc from TLF. But when I go into TLF ‘Recent Posts’ I find numerous posts of which I have not been notified...

Inbox "Your Primary tab is empty" and reloading the tab makes no difference.(Win 10)

For the past couple of days no notifications at all – wassup?

Where did the notification flash up?

I notice your using Windows (not sure which version) with Firefox.

The same thing happened with an account my dad had.....turns out he had been hacked and as TFL Admin says a rule was setup to put all incoming email straight into the bin.

Just finished a Avast/Defender scan - all OK but problem persists.

Would a password manager avoid hacking?

Any recommendations for a (free) password manager?
