Any clues on the best way to get a 19 or 22 inch lcd television over to our place in mavishier?

Certainly not worth the hassle and not as expensive in Turkey as you may think.

Hi if you are bringing it in from UK,you will have to pay a hefty duty,so would be better to buy one out in Turkey,priced roughly the same as home,plus you would have a warranty, usually 3 years if you buy a Turkish model like Vestel.We bought a 40in LCD for 1599Tyl= £640 approx, saw a Toshiba Regza in Carrefour on special 40in Lcd for 1549Tyl.

you wont be liable to duty on just a tv if it is of a certain size

but it just isnt worth it.

Just one more point. If you bring a TV to Turkey from the UK and it goes wrong, it is not easy to make any claim under warranties etc. Buy one in Turkey and the vendor is much easier to complain to. Maisie
