So all you lucky Turkey owners and visitors here we are early season 2018

Come on let's hear a bit about your upcoming season and make us ex owners/ visitors raging with jealousy

As an ex owner myself, I have got to say that I really miss the stunning sights as you come over the tops by the windmills in Bodrum. Pulling over at one of the picnic tables and looking down always reminded me of looking down over the lakes of Killarney. Head back afterwards and fire up the barbeque. Sadly my trips to Turkey now are confined to hotel accommodation.

Well we live here in Konakli, 12klm from Alanya. It is very busy here now with tourists and the weather is glorious, up in the 80's in the sun.
We haven't done much of anything through the winter months. But on May 18th we are off to Kemer for a week. Never been there before, but it looks nice. We are going to go up on the cable car to top of Mt Tahtali 9300ft it looks good.

Now you've really done my head in- combining 2 of my fav places on the planet!!!!

Almost thought it kismet when after buying in Valencia I found out that Killarney ( Kerry) airport amongst its very few destinations has Alicante!!!!- with flights on Fri and Monday meaning we can continue our trips there with no more than an extra 50 mins travel time over driving from Belfast!!!!

Are you planning to holiday in Turkey this season Michael?

I will most likely be there late in the season. I tend to book into a top hotel, hire out a car and take in the same sights which I enjoyed so much when I owned there. I am not one to camp beside a pool of water for two weeks.

Ibrahim you fairly feel the difference financially when you go back as a non owner

Rentals of decent places esp in the main season fairly add up your cost.

We went well out of season in Nov and for a 6 night stay accommodation flights and car hire was £1170 before we spent a Lira

Having my own place, car etc in Valencia a £35 return flight and I am good to go

BUT Turkey is Turkey and I will return!!!!!

Maybe it would be a nice gesture if Tlfers with properties in Turkey were to offer the less fortunate propertyless ones use of their homes there?

It would be a great gesture in keeping with the camaraderie and friendship of the forum

Yep. We arrived home this morning, and looking forward to going back already.
Anthony said it's good to be home and I said yes, but I would rather be in Turkey. We will go back maybe around June. xx

But, where are you ???? We are good dog sitters. I think someone should start a thread along these lines ( Philip), I'm sure there are lots of people out there wanting holidays in Turkey and North Cyprus, that have pets and happy to do an exchange. xx
