Its cases like this that make me angry,Cliffs reputation has been tarnished by this but he has the money etc to live with it,if this ever happened to an ordinary Joe Bloggs in the street his life would be ruined because he was named by the press etc the accusers are not named so they they go back to live their lives the accused person should never be named until a court has found him/her guilty,in most cases its all about compensation claims

The police & the BBC have some questions to answer...............didn't the police give the BBC "the knock" before searching his property? Does the BBC pay for the heads up on some of these raids?

Had a google

Jimmy Savile cannot be posthumously stripped of his knighthood, despite David Cameron suggesting he might be.

Earlier today the Prime Minister raised the prospect of the late broadcast star being stripped of the honour in the wake of allegations of sexual abuse against young girls.

However, the Cabinet Office said Savile no longer had a knighthood to revoke, as individuals cease to be a member of the order when they die.

“It’s a living order and then you cease to be a member when you die…there isn’t an honour to revoke,”

Hows about that then Guys and Gals!.

Sir Cliff Richard.
He deserves to be prosecuted for heineous crimes committed against music , male sartorial elegance and the Honourable Assembly of Wig and Peruke makers.

We lived in a village very close to his Surrey home , his fan club was located in the village , general concensus of opinion was the he truly was a " nice guy ".

Those two bastions of truth, justice, honesty, neutrality and integrity are at it again. Well, being exposed for what they actually are, anyway.

Yes, South Yorkshire Police (SYP) and the BBC are in the headlines again for all the wrong reasons. Bearing in mind it is the function of the police to investigate crimes- they are not a public relations organisation and it is (should be) the responsibility of the BBC for balanced reporting, it now appears that Cliff Richard was not bluffing:

"The extent of the collusion between the BBC and the police to arrange for a raid on Sir Cliff Richard’s home to be shown live on television has been revealed.

Messages obtained by Sir Cliff’s lawyers and included in a High Court writ seen by the Sun newspaper show the communications between a BBC reporter and South Yorkshire Police ahead of the police operation in 2014.

Sir Cliff was investigated by the force over a historical accusation of sexual offences, but he was never arrested or charged and the case was dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service earlier this year on the grounds of insufficient evidence. Sir Cliff strongly denied all allegations.

...

The papers reportedly claim Mr Johnson told police he “knew everything” about the investigation in order to get exclusive coverage of the raid for the BBC, and that the arrangement was “expressly approved” by the then Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police, David Crompton.
"

Revealed: the remarkable texts between the police and the BBC before raid on Sir Cliff Richard's house was broadcast live on TV*

Here is a brief time line:

LATE 2013: Man tells Scotland Yard that Sir Cliff sexually assaulted him as a teenager in Sheffield.

JULY 3, 2014: Scotland Yard hands probe to South Yorkshire Police.

JULY 14: BBC crime writer Dan Johnson contacts SYP to say he is working on an historic sex crime probe story into Sir Cliff.

JULY 15: He meets force PR chief Carrie Goodwin and lead investigator Det Supt. Mick Fenwick at force HQ and agrees "deal"

JULY 18, 8.23am: He emails Ms Goodwin, asking: "When precisely can we break the story?

SAME DAY, 10.53am: Ms Goodwin tells him force does not have Sir Cliff’s address.

AUGUST 6: SYP identify his flat in Sunningdale, Berks, as their target. JPs grant search warrant next day.

AUGUST 13. 4.31pm: SYP press office send Mr Johnson a weblink to aerial photo of apartment block.

AUGUST 14, 10am: Police arrive. Two BBC camera crews in position, one in a helicopter. Sir Cliff not in.

10.20am: Press officer Lesley Card starts "a running commentary" for Mr Johnson. She tells him: "Going in now, Dan." He tells her: "Give me a shout before they take anything out."

1pm: SYP put out release to all media about raid on an unnamed man’s home.

1.01pm: BBC breaks exclusive report of Sir Cliff raid.

AUGUST 23: Sir Cliff is voluntarily interviewed by SYP detectives.

NOVEMBER 5, 2015: He is re-interviewed again voluntarily.

MAY 10, 2016: File passed to Crown Prosecution Service.

JUNE 16, 2016: CPS drop case. "Insufficient evidence to prosecute".

Damning texts between cops & BBC reveal full sickening stitch-up of Cliff Richards

Yes, SYP is the very same corrupt organisation who, amongst other notorious scandals, failed to investigate, covered up and actually arrested people who had the audacity to complain that 1400 children were being raped on their doorstep.

Go get em Cliff!!!

Hope he sues their arses off
The CPS will never actually say they are completeley wrong,it's probably ingrained in their little handbook all they say is "insufficient evidence"

The awful truth is that the Police and media are jointly complicit in attacking people and their homes , how many time have we seen houses smashed open , mob searched by the police , nothing found , and the photographers and cameramen all over the story.

Everyone should be entitled to privacy until convicted.
