Exellent news for Sheffield is that the Don Valley Stadium, where Jessica Ennis did her Olympic training, is to be redeveloped as an Olympic legacy.

Let's hope it is good news ,but I think the council took the correct decision to go for closure I can't make a case for council tax payers subsidising professional sport ,if anyone can come up with a sensible solution then I think Dock Caborn can ,so fingers crossed

Just a pipe dream from Caborn

The Sheffield tax payers have already spent enough on this under used stadium.

I've been to the stadium a few times, Student Games, Athletics events and the Cancer Research run so I'm no expert on whether it's under used or not but it's a shame that a city as large as Sheffield will not have this resource especially when we are losing the World Snooker which is held at the Crucible Theatre.

Richard Caborn is only interested in self interest so I doubt we will see much more than hot air from him.
