On Wednesday the 23rd of May, Ricky Tomlinson from the Royle Family will be hosting another evening at Apollon Holiday Village. For the first time a limited number of tickets are going to be sold to the public.

Email ahvtickets@gmail.com if you are interested with how many tickets you would like and the names of those wishing to attend. They are going fast.

As always the opportunity is taken to raise fund for a cause or charity on the night. This time the Kaan Ilker Trust has been chosen. It is to fund a playroom on the children's ward at the hospital in memory of Kaan who passed away at 13 weeks old.

The price is 25 lira including a serving of Scouse with lots of fresh bread made again by Ricky's good friend, Jimmy. 10 lira from the ticket price goes straight to the charity.

On the night Ricky will be doing cash bingo, win beer at the quiz, raffles, and playing his banjo with backing from other players including a sing-a-long and the usual laughs had on the night courtesy of Ricky.

Not to be missed, tickets only in advance. No admittance without ticket.

Not many celebreties would go to the effort of doing this at there own holiday home!

Were not there till 1th June, pitty would be a good night.

Such a shame, if it's half as good as the others he has done for us it will be a fantastic night.

UPDATE: 5200 lira was raised last night and we still have a brand new, boxed and wrapped Altus washing machine that was donated by Salih at Baran Furniture (next door to the Million Shop) which is being auctioned on the Voice's facebook group. Current bid is £170.

All funds have been given to the charity last night and they were originally trying to raise money to create a children's playroom at the hospital for the sick kiddies but have now raised more than they ever imagined so they will use it towards providing the hospital with vaccines that they don't have here in Turkey. When the head of the charity's son was poorly they had to order the injections from Germany and collect them from the airport themselves...not everyone is in a position to do this so it's a great thing for them to do in Kaan's memory.
