Is it true that Scots are flying the flag of the EU empire rather than that of their own country?

It is being flown on government buildings alongside the St.Andrew's Cross. Sturgeon has implemented the rule.

CLAIM

“Sturgeon replaces Union Jack … it is to be replaced – of course – by the EU flag” – Guido Fawkes blog, 18 February 2021

DOORSTEP ANSWER

Guido is primarily an entertainment site. The Scottish Government has not changed existing flag protocols. The Union flag is not being “replaced” and will continue to fly at official occasions such as Remembrance Sunday. However, the Scottish Government will continue to fly the EU flag as a salute to the quarter of a million European citizens who live and work here.

WHO IS GUIDO FAWKES?

The Guido Fawkes self-styled “infotainment” blog was started in 2004 by Paul Staines, a right-wing, pro-Brexit "libertarian" who holds UK and Irish (EU) passports. He is a former stockbroker and trader who went bankrupt in 2003. Born in London, Staines now lives in Ireland.

Jim Sillars exsocialist later to become ex.. deputy of the SNP, the architect in ridding the SNP of its Tartan Tory image , so they could get elected in a left wing Scotland , with progressive policy filched from his old party ..has dropped his voting support for the SNP

JIM SILLARS: I've been a lifelong SNP supporter... but the stench is such that I cannot hold my nose and vote for the party in May

And Salmond the ex First Minister himself has said Sturgeon DID break ministerial code by misleading Scottish Parliament and that SNP chiefs including her HUSBAND 'pressured' police - and warns Scottish government is not fit for independence

So it was true, irrespective of their cringeworthy justification for flying the EU flag. And, by the way, your source of fact checking is hardly independent; The National newspaper has a banner headline "The newspaper that supports an independent Scotland"

As someone described Salmond & Sturgeon as "2 cheeks of the same bum". Quite agree but I do hope he kicks her in to touch and she is ousted.

Just watching a master class in what I believe the Scots call political "sleekit"ness... The Sturgeon is not for turning ....from her political direction and pity those in her wake like victims and political rivals beware ...

Sturgeon set the stage well before her Holyrood Inquiry Meeting , heading off calls for her political demise and resignation, by getting her acolytes to brief the press before hand, on any calls for her to resign shouldn't be seen justified, in breaking the Ministerial Code.

By using the SNP's usual deflection from criticism, using "Westminster" . In this case using the Priti Patel case on breaking the Ministerial Code and not having to resign .. ( whilst true, The Position of First Minister of Scotland the standard set and expectation is higher or should be, nor do "two wrongs don't make a right" )

The first words out of this Consummate politicians mouth was a well placed defelective "mea culpa" an apology, deflecting from the "actual accusations" against her, on selfishlessly trying to rid herself of a political Grandee , rival and influencer within the SNP.
She knowing the case as advised by her legal team, would fail , still went ahead knowing the publicity and accusations would possibly see off the rival , even though it was going to waste over half a million of taxpayers money, on what was a personal political ploy .

The deflection was political theatre , using this insincere apology as seen later, to the victims and the press with the mea culpa taking the blame for failing the victims.... them and their case.... which was certainly true she had ,but she still didn't explain on knowing it would fail , why she still went on against legal advice and continued selfishly with this failed case. In doing so instead prolonging the victims ordeal of a trial in the knowledge of failure with possible victim exposure and speculation of identity all for her own political ends.

I watched two hours of her trying to explain how she "forgot" about a meeting, how she was trying to help a friend, how she is the victim here because she is so innocent in a cruel world. It is the first time I have seen her uncomfortable and, literally, squirming in her seat. Then I went back to the snooker.

I was left with the impression that the SNP is a small group of people who feel powerful, entitled to rule, and do what they like.

I waited for the crocodile tears about her miscarriage; at least she had the grace not to bring that up. Didn't find her convincing, except in deflection, but I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when she got home to her husband last night. They are too intertwined at the top on the SNP to be good for the country.

So Patel was innocent..my arse !

A ‘substantial settlement’ for Sir Philip Rutnam, who called Priti Patel a liar in his resignation speech...
“The home secretary categorically denied any involvement in this campaign to the Cabinet Office.
I regret I do not believe her.”JoB.

After that amnesia performance yesterday I was surprised she managed to remember how to get to Holyrood today !
The Scots deserve the SNP and I hope they storm the elections, have a second referendum very soon, win it and F##k off to finance themselves.

How does this relate to Scotland and/or SNP?
