Today is the last "normal" day in Turkey and then Ramazan begins at sunset.

In the Muslim calendar, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Muslims will celebrate Ramazan on the sunset of Thursday, the 20th of August. The first day of fasting is Friday.

It starts a day later in the USA because of the phases of the moon.

Yea I agree - its going to be a long - hard month - especially when working in the restaurant business - poor Ibrahim - but its his choice !
I have been excused for the past 3 years on medical grounds - but I must admit I did enjoy doing it in previous years

I think that warning notices should be displayed all over the Muslim world
stating,
beware of anyone driving a vehicle-
could be suffering from withdrawl symptoms
durung Ramazan
last year especially to wards the evening , their driving became worse than normal(if thats possible)
so beware
