Quick facts about Köyceğiz
The city of Köyceğiz is on the northern side of a lake köyceğiz, a natural canal known as the Dalyan Delta, which is linked to the Mediterranean Sea. The Köyceğiz-Dalyan Special Environmental Conservation Area protects its natural ecosystem as a wilderness sanctuary. A road shaded by a treetop leads to the city of Dalyan, on the inland waterway and administratively part of the neighboring district of Ortaca, which is named after the river. Dalyan is incredibly popular with tourists and can be explored by boat on its labyrinth of channels. New fish are the restaurants on the rivers. Tombs is cut into the rocks on top of the mountain, at a curve in the water, above the old port town of Caunos. The Dalyan Delta, with its mouth a long golden beach
