Quick Easy Recipes over Lockdown
I have been making this for a while now and it really is simple. I know bread is cheap here and sold everywhere but you can't beat your own for satisfaction.

PEASANT BREAD

Ingredients

4 cups (510 g | 1 lb. 2 oz) all-purpose flour* (BİM or A101 standard flour)
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups lukewarm water**
2 to 3 teaspoons sugar (difference is negligible)
2 teaspoons active-dry yeast***
room temperature butter, about 2 tablespoons

Sweet and sour:

Sek Ananas Suyu from BIM or Dimes or Cappy Ananas Suyu from Migros

1 tablespoon Mısır unu - Corn flour (about 1/4 ounce; 7g)
1 tablespoon (15ml) Su - Water
2/3 cup (160ml) Ananas suyu - Pineapple Juice
1/3 cup (80ml) Pirinç sirkesi - Rice vinegar
1/3 cup (74g) Esmer şeker - Light brown sugar
3 tablespoons (45ml) ketçap - Ketchup
1 tablespoon (15ml) Soy sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together corn flour and water then set the slurry aside.

In a medium saucepan, combine pineapple juice, rice vinegar, sugar, ketchup, and soy sauce and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in the corn flour slurry and cook until thickened, about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Diced Chicken:

Put some corn flour in a shallow bowl then put the eggs in a separate bowl and whisk; dredge the chicken in the corn flour first, then dip in the egg. Fry as needed on low heat.

You can add onions, green and red peppers, but I normally chop them up, put in a dish in the microwave with some butter for 2 mins and then add to the finished sauce in the saucepan..
