Can anyone tell me how to put a photo into a post? Maisie

1. Go to TinyPic TinyPic - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

2. Click on BROWSE to locate the file on your computer

3. Change the RESIZE box from DEFAULTto 15" screen

4. Click UPLOAD NOW

5. Highlight and copy the last one DIRECT LINK TO IMAGE

6. Go to the post you want to insert the pic.

7. Click on the picture insertion box at top (yellow box with mountain)

8. I then just hold down Ctrl and click 'V' which pastes it into box.

9. Then click OK

Okay - I have just done this. But instead of the picture the message post is showing the http: etc. etc. bit. How do I change this to show the actual photo? Maisie

you're so right Maisie! i joined a computer class last year and learnt hardly anything. too many in the class wanting to know different things, and the tutor didn't explain enough to idiots like me!!! lol didn't bother going back, but i'm learning more on here! great stuff.

Make sure you only have one http in this box

I have only got one. But the last box says Direct Link for Layouts, not Direct Link to Image. Is this what is wrong? Sorry to be a pain. Maisie

Try changing the default toMessage Board (640x480)

2.Click Upload Now and wait until it is ready

3.Click on the 2nd code down (IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards) and copy and paste it on tlf.

does it make any difference if the picture is stored on your computer? i tend to save the picture to my computer, then when i have typed in my message and want to add a pic I click on manage attachments, then browse then upload. Pat

It only appears as a picture once you have uploaded it to the forum

Not in the slightest. All my pictures are stored on my computer then uploaded to Tinypics and then downloaded to the forum.
