There was an article in yesterday's Hurriyet Daily News ( but not on the web-site) saying that Pegasus is planning "an expanded scheduleof 17 flights from UK to Turkey a week..
Flights planned include London to Istanbul, Bodrum, Dalaman; from Manchester to Antalya and Dalaman; and Birmingham to Antalya and Bodrum"
- Pegasus are also now shareholders in Air Berlin.

We now travel with Pegasus either direct to Bodrum on Mondays from Stansted or there is a daily service transferring at Istanbul.
This year on our return instead of a 2-3 hour transfer wait at Istanbul we arranged a four day stop over at no extra cost on our ticket.
The stopover was absolutely brilliant and would recommend it to everyone.

Couple of points if you are going to follow in our footsteps.:hmm:the baggage allowance for internal flights is 15kgs whilst international is 25kgs.which if you break the journey for more than 4 hours or so is classed as internal. Also the airport which is used in Istanbul (SAW) is a £70 taxi ride to the centre of the touristy bit This is reduced if you arrange for the hotel to pick u up.

we had a great time and a terrific end of our holiday

Hope this helps Cheers DandS

If you Google pegasus airways birmingham you will find info re expansion of Pegasus routes in articles by holidayhypermarket and buisnesstraveller.
They are increasing the fleet and extending there routes.
Competition to those Eageanflight people who offer flights for about £100 but add on 46% to carry 20kg will go down well with me.

We have 25 when we fly in January. The flights from Birmingham have not come up on their screen yet. I have emailed Pegasus for info on when they go on sale.

Just flown Pegasus from Bruxelles to Bodders via Istanbul (SAW). Fantastic !!

Staff both in the air and on the ground were really friendly and helpful. The hot food on-board was grt quality and reasonable, considering we got a fresh mixed salad, hot filet steak (v. tender) with pots and veg, cheese and bikkies, sweet, 2 bread rolls AND a bottle of wine, all for €11,-- Well worth it.

Will have a look at their Stansted flights too tho' as that could also be v. useful......

PS: Luggage allowance from Bruxelles is 30Kgs................

Some very good prices on the Manchester - Dalaman route and they also do a flexi fare. Interesting pre-order food choice with apparently complementary beer ,wine and soft drinks available with the hot meal options. Sounds more like a schedule service.

We flew back at new year from Bodrum with Pegasus, hot meal for 10 Euro with bottle of wine was superb, BUT no duty free sales!

That's right............ We had the hot meals and you get
a small salad, a hot main meal (v. good quality and hot), cheese and bikkies, a choccy sweet, a bread roll AND your choice of drink (I took vino rosso) all for €11,-- Fantabuloso..............!!!!

And the service in the air and from the ground staff is first rate...............
Long may they continue...............................
