Oh Oh! Priti in trouble--again.
Good job she is not employed by the H M Queeen , she would leave it three years then have it spread all over the media in a tit for tat .

I see Priti has come up with a fantastic plan to send illegal immigrants to an offshore island. Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Turkey are being mentioned. This will be a great opportunity for IoM to take some migrants, so far they have found reasons to take zero (unless they go as servants).

Turkey???? Really? I think there might be a bit of a backlash. Does Priti mean Cyprus, perhaps?

As I heard that both Asylum seekers and illegal migrants coming across the channel from France in her policy will be rounded up, given a deportation order and put on a plane to eg Turkey, who would be paid to house them in an immigration camp. Where they would then be weeded out and could apply for Asylum, no mention on where the failed would go or would happen to them still in Turkey ? .......This is a copy of the Controversial much criticised policy employed in Australia of offshore processing ....

She hasn't said she will take up fully the Australian policy of NO Entry ...but maybe Priti is testing the waters, on our peoples historical defense of Freedom, Liberty ,rule of law and fair play for the underdog ?

Australian Asylum ........... When asylum seekers reach Australia by boat, they are not held in Australia while their claims are processed.
Instead, they are sent to an offshore processing centre. Currently Australia has one such centre on the Pacific island nation of Nauru and another on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea.
Even if these asylum seekers are found to be refugees, they are not allowed to be settled in Australia. They may be settled in Nauru or Papua New Guinea, and four were settled in Cambodia at a reported cost of A$55m (£28m, $42m).
Rights groups say conditions in the PNG and Nauru camps are totally inadequate, citing poor hygiene, cramped conditions, unrelenting heat and a lack of facilities.
Holding asylum seekers in indefinite detention has caused widespread psychological harm, and exposed them to dangers including physical and sexual assaults, the critics say. Australia asylum: Why is it controversial?

This is a most ridiculous plan ever and alien to our natural psyche ..... It not only goes against the grain of the principle of Asylum and the International agreements we have been so admired for in the past, being involved in the creation and foundations of most Asylum Protection Policy .. Instead wanting to follow a cheap ( not monetary as will be expensive ) controversial and much criticized Australian policy, from a country known for its political racism and misogyny.

How would they get these people who have risked their lives in dinghys, to give up the dream and quietly board planes ( in shackles maybe) to these deportation camps ? not knowing their future. (you would need constant suicide watch) ... It surely breaks our International responsibilities on Asylum...

Ms Patel should be ashamed pulling up the ladder on people, and a the country that gave her the opportunity to attain the position she has ... Then again she is an avid right wing supporter ( even losing a job for her contacts with one ) of two countries and leaders who are known for their apartheid policies Netanyahu , an ultranationalist Hindu Modi.....

There is mention of the IOM as a place to house them whilst they are processed, went down badly here but more Boris nonsense we assume, We have housed internees here for both world wars, including one camp for English Mosleyites. the most unpopular "guests", No ammunition issued to the guards for fear of them firing through the wire, The others were foreign civilians , many were refugees from the very regimes that caused their internment. During the first bash an internee, Mr Pilates, was given authority to organise keep fit classes in Cunningham camp, the rest of his history is rather well known Hutchinson Square Dougla sInternment Camp, , during WW2..jpg

Our Chief Minister is Howard Quayle, known for a certain "Sarky" streak often found in a Quayle.
His recent faint praise for the latest load of Boris Bollox did amuse me though.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle was quoted , saying: ’I can confirm that at no time has the Isle of Man Government been approached or advised about plans to use the Isle of Man for such a purpose,

’Along with ideas to build a road tunnel under the Irish Sea or a bridge above it, this latest idea simply adds to the rich tapestry of life we are dealing with at present, April 1st isn’t until next month.
