Is it ok to take a laptop into turkey I read somewhere that the memory size is restricted.
thats right - when you go thru customs they take out anything over a gig (but you get it back when you leave, if you remember to collect it)
Hello Abo, I brought a Sony laptop in through Antalya in my hand luggage, absolutely no problem at all.... never got stopped or asked, must admit though I've never heard of this memory thing you mentioned??

Peregrine you really are a ****.
The guy is asking a serious question.
If you can't offer helpful answers, why attempt to confuse matters with your attempt at humour? Are you really that sad?

Abo, you are correct but those rules were probably out of date by the time they were printed. Just bring your laptop as hand luggage just like everyone else does. On the very odd occasion that I go to England I nearly always buy a new laptop, I get the cheapest one in a pile in Tesco, check it out, then bring it home. That way I am nearly always up to date ish.
