Whilst its basically swapping blue ties for red ones, posh career politicos for more of the same- thanks to Labour now being transformed more fully into a clone of johnsons mob whilst haemoraging both principles and member numbers-it's still far from certain even that will be enough

Do we get what we deserve - our MP's don't operate in a vacuum if no one is kicking their backsides do we not assume that people simply can't be arsed?
If you leave the Labour Party because you do't like the CURRENT direction you'll change nothingf?

And if you elect a party almost identical to tories what are you changing?

You're basically encouraging them to continue in their Tory lite mode

Good god man can you seriously support a party that is so virulently anti socialist it expels members for " liking " a post?

You reckon that's democratic socialism !!!!

When it comes to an elitist cabal running a party Starmers privileged career politicos are as self serving and undemocratic as johnsons lot and that's saying something!!!

I don't like a party that threw out a perfectly good MP in Anne Turley. There's zealots on both wings of the Party I wouldn't drink a pint with

You can't change anything if you are not in the club . I can't see anyone on the Labour benches more electable than Starmer so go with him and try to implement change from the inside

I don't think I've ever mentioned Democratic Socialism

Unfortunately where that all falls flat is Starmer has made it perfectly clear hes not open to any sort of radical change that would even make labour look vaguely different from.the Tories

He certainly has surrounded himself with a right wing elitist core who could easily sit on the opposite benches- when you have one of British politics most odious self centered right wing career politicos on your team like Mandelson- change is most definitely not in the air!!!!

What am I saying !!!!-in Bury for example hes been brazen enough to actually appoint a Tory as the next labour candidate!!!!! despite the local labour activists having spent years trying to get rid of him!!!

No one can accuse Starmer of not being upfront in his Tory credentials

After all that’s gone on over the last few years, if Labour can’t win the next GE, then where do they go?
I’m looking to see if Jeremy Corbyn stands as an independent & Labour fields a candidate against him......trouble at tut mill, if Islington that is has a mill 😂

Starmer is only the current leader of the Labour Party but at the end of the day you get the politicians most people have voted for that's democracy
Some for of proportional representation might be a good start

Mate , the vested money interested media is always slaughtering labour point blank , i know it s the usual refrain , it is however true ....labour have got to call out the tv interviewers such as Jo Coburn and her to labour sneeringly " and where will you get the money from " as she shrugs off the trillions borrowed by the Tories . It does when all tarried together cut with the public . I just hope Labour keep slagging Boris the lying clown Johnson and Richly rewarded Sunak, to make them pay the price , but still i am worried the great english public generall are not thinkers of zny kind .

I know this Steve from years and years of elections and me casting my vote.
FA ever changes in my life regardless of who ends up in power AND YET I still vote 😂
What sticks out like a sore thumb to me is, winners are continuously put under the microscope. Maybe they should be but this day and age.....it can and does become personal ie it goes beyond politics.
Muggings here though will still vote & only in my mind will I be chuffed if “my side” wins.
Then I/we have to go through the rigmarole of it was unfair, they cheated, someone interfered etc......that’s so become the norm now. I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth the trek to the polling station anymore 😂
