Well I bought with tapu but like many foreigners in this area, it's not in my name. As I said in another thread, now Kadikoy ( an attractive area over the river, also popular with foreigners) is also tapu banned to foreigners. I suppose the plus side of this is it shows how popular it is here now as the government don't want foreigners to invest in the best parts of Istanbul.
