Increase in Burglary?

Are burglaries on the increase in Turkey I wonder?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of other types of crimes such as assaults reported on TLF, but having been to Turkey loads of times, that type of violence crime seems to be less common anyway. Personally, I've never ever felt threatened or afraid in Turkey.

It'd be interesting to know the crime trends in each area though.

I believe there are not too many violent crimes in Turkey compared to most of Europe or North America. There seems to be a ton of B&E's and petty theft though. I believe most of that reason is lack of work and lack of money to live on. Drugs are the main reason in most cities for theft crimes....imagine when the drug scene settles into Turkey.
