Help we need a nice new family Meow.
:boohoo:
Well folks after nearly 3 years we have decided that we have to go back to the Uk .Turkey is a fantastic place to retire or Holiday, but buisness is very difficult not that we didnt do well but the time is right to return .But we find ourselfs in a very hard and difficult situation after looking at the possibility of taking our 2 cats back to the Uk we find that it is not an option as the quarantine laws are very strict and the great character,s our cats have would change
So we would love to find homes for them both, to good loving familys who would spoil them and love them as much as we do ,and would not mind sending us updates and photos
The 1st one is Cherkin born 7/1/2007 my baby she is a tortoise shell tabby who loves the great outdoors but when the weather is cold and wet wants to share the bed .She loves to headbutt you and is very vocal when she wants feeding or just to talk ,when very happy be prepared for drool .
Her vacinations are up to date and has had rabies shots so if someone feels they can give her a good loving home please pm me. mıxed 051.jpg
No 2 Sassy ,sassy by name and sassy by nature ,
this little girl was abandoned on the mountain between icmeler and Turunc and is only 7 months old .I more loving cat you would not meet but this little girl is a homebody only leaving for an hour or so at a time at first she was so frightened of humans that it has taken 3 months to bring her out of her shell and boy what a lovley little girl this is and she is a van cat so with a big personality it would be great to keep them together but I just want to make sure they are loved and looked after . mıx 002.jpg
I know there are lots of homeless cats out there and both of these have been homeless in there early lifes and have brought so much love and joy to our family i want to ensure that they will be ok please pm me if intrested
many many thanks for all your suport and advice over the years xxx

If I knew they would be loved as much as we do, distance would not be a problem we have plenty of friends who would take us to bodrum .

Bit confused about this thread as it seems to have been repeated.

Sorry there is no way that we can help you although we have lost several cats recently I have to consider our remaining cats and dog and unfortunately it would be a problem. But I do know that there is absolutely no way I would leave any of my animals here if I had to return to the UK. I know quarentine is expensive and that at the moment I have over the limit I am allowed to take in, I would still never consider leaving even one, I would take them to France or try the Greek trip.

As they say 'A dog is for life not just for Christmas'

Just my view on the subject

Have to agree with you Jill, re the quarantine. 6 months soon passes and the animals won't lose their characters. Either take them straight back to the UK and put into quarantine for 6 months (or did I read somewhere that it has now gone down to three months??) or go back through France or some other EU country and spend 6 months there and then go into the UK with them pet passported.

ok Guys knew I was opening myself up for this but didnt want to go into detail of our last 3 years ,and yes i agree a dog is for life and I thought this was for life ,but without going into to much detail and opening myself up for more comments in a nut shell although our buisness was doing well it was not enough and for the last 3years we have used our savings as well to keep it going so we have now no more left to invest in the buisness and have been let down by others and will be returning to the Uk homeless having to live with family while this is something we will handle and in time our experience in Turkey will turn into a posative one .Family are helping and giving us the much needed support and have offered to pay for quarantine I do not feel that I can ask for the money to fund this ,and I also really do feel that cherkin especially would not cope with quarantine ,So please do not judge me as a bad person I took these animals in loved them and still do but the circumstances have made this an almost unbearable choice ,but when you keep hoping somthing will turn up to make a diffrence and realise this is the only option its not easy .All I want is to find a good loving home and be at peace that they are ok in a time that is going to be difficult for all involved.

Although I really do feel for you in your predicament, I wonder what you will do if a good home is not found for your lovely cats?

The lady who looks after all the cats in Turunc who we got the cats from has said she would take them back but she is over worked and has an awful lot to look after .So if I can find a home it is one less burden for her and peace of mind for me that they have gone somewere they are really wanted .

Hi Guys well no luck at all at rehoming my babys time is starting to run out ,
our daughter has gone back to the Uk we just waiting for everything to be sorted this end will have to live with mum for some time and hope that the local council will help rehome us ,But at the moment my main concern is the cats I really dont want them to be left with just anyone have even looked at taking them through holland but it would be a full year untill we are reunited with them ,looked at taking them back to the Uk and the cost is £3000 pound ,three years ago this would not have been a problem but after everything that has happened we do not have that kind of money .
SO THIS IS A LAST DITCH ATTEMPT AT TRYING TO FIND THEM A REALLY GOOD LOVING HOME SO PLEASE IF ANYONE OUT THERE CAN LOVE THEM AND GIVE THEM A GOOD HOME ,PLEASE PM ME .THEY WILL NOT BE TOTALLY ON THERE OWN HERE IN TURUNC AND WILL BE LOOKED AFTER ,BUT THEY REALLY NEED SOMEONE TO LOVE THEM NOT JUST BE ANOTHER VILLAGE CAT .

I can't help either...........sorry!

I love cats but am allergic and live in an apartment three floors up.

I do hope though that someone, somewhere can help in your predicament.
Only my own personal opinion, but don't think it's helpful or nice for anyone to criticise someone who so obviously didn't ever want to find themselves in this sort of situation. Yes,an animal is deserving of a loving home and my view here is that so many take on animals with the very best of intentions. But sometimes, life throws us some lousy cards and nobody in their right mind can pass blame onto someone who has taken in a poor deserving animal or two and then themselves found themselves in dire straights.

I've taken in a waif myself and she has a lovely life here with me........but if I fell on hard times I too would want to find her a good home and be worried about her.

I wish you all the best and hope that you soon find a loving home for your dear little cats. I'd hope too that if ever I found myself in such a predicament that people wouldn't be so quick to judge me either!!!!

Good luck,

saffie.

They're cats not human beings! Good Luck Goldmattymiss but don't feel guilty about leaving them behind. Cats survived here long before the 'Brits' came and always will. Personally I find the attitude of the 'Cat People' to be downright facist, they are a very intolerant bunch. You concentrate on your return to the UK and don't let people make you feel guilty.
