Any guess as to how the test is carried out..?

To me it's obvious... " drop your shorts" !
The thing is, if this person has had a sex change it might not be so obvious..?
Not that I'm talking from experience, but i'm led to believe that they remove any dangly bits dont they..?

It appears from what i read of the article that its a little more complicated than " right then, drop your shorts"...
There seems to be a whole crowd queueing up to take a look...

I think you will find this is not about a sex change or having "dangly bits". According to the guy on the tv (interview on BBC just now) its about whether her hormone levels make her a "male"i.e its not her fault. Takes quite a while to do all the tests. In my opinion should not of been disclosed till she was tested and only then if proved positive. This would be the same treatment as a drugs cheat as anyone who tests positive for drugs is only named after a second positive test.

I couldn't agree more Diana.. can you imagine her / his (pending result) embarrassment right now..? wouldn't you just want a hole to open up and swallow you up..?
As you say... this could have all taken place after the race, the if it turns out that she is a he then a clear case of disqualification would apply.
