Government crackdown?

had an interesting letter from the insurers (intasure) of my place in Turkey

dear xxx
I am writing with reference to your insurance for your property in Turkey. We are now required by the Turkish Government to obtain the passport number from the policyholder and pass this information onto the Turkish Government

has anyone else had a similar letter?

anyone heard of this new regulation and which Government department might be involved?

strange that some of our other eagle eyed members havnt spotted this and posted on it before

though I was having a little fun as someone else once posted about being Tea total (did they mean completely fuull of tea?) but my quip about not drinking cay seemed to fall on deaf ears
