BERLIN (AFP) - Around 200 football matches in nine countries including at least three Champions League games are implicated in a new match-fixing scandal, German prosecutors said on Friday.


The suspect matches took place in Germany, Belgium, Swizerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey, Hungary, Bosnia-Hercegovina and Austria, netting criminals several million euros (dollars) in betting profits, prosecutors said

I don't see how you can fix results, you'd need both teams to be complicite. I do remember a few years agao when you could bet on the time of the first throw in etc, from the game start a West Ham player kicked the ball straight into touch. The chances were he was just a crap player...
