Czech tourists injured in Antalya bus crash.
A tourists bus crash Tuesday in the Mediterranean city of Antalya resulted in 42 injuries, the Doğan news agency reported.

The tour bus was carrying 39 Czech tourists and two tour guides to Fethiye from Antalya when it veered out of the road near Korkuteli distrcit. Injured tourists were taken to hospitals in Korkuteli and Antalya. One seriously injured Czech citizen weas taken to Antalya Eucation Research Hospital by ambulance heliopter.

The passengers were brought to Turkey by Czech Firo Tour travel. The agency’s marketing director Pavlina Pesova told CTK Web site that three of the injured were operated on and their condition is not life-threatening, but the condition of one client remains serious.

Twenty passengers were released from hospital to the hotel late Monday, and another 19 who suffered light injuries were released Wednesday.

The accident occurred when the bus was returning from a trip to the mountains, some 70 kilometers from Antalya.

The bus was not speeding, but it went into a skid on the wet road and turned on its roof, Pesova said.

Police officials said the reason for the accident was the road that became slippery after heavy rains.
