So Matt Hancock and Michael Gove at Wembley with a host of celebrities NOT wearing masks and shoulder to shoulder enjoying the game, G4 had thousands at the summit, BBQs on the beach hugging each other and NO masks, UEFA trying to avoid the quarantine regulations for 2500 people or taking the game elsewhere.

And still people believe the scaremongering that they churn out and continue to wear their face nappies.

Turkey begins Phase 3 trial of Covid-19 vaccine, named 'Turkovac' by Erdogan

Erdogan has given the name "Turkovac" to his country's new, locally produced Covid-19 vaccine.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Tuesday the name of the locally made Covid-19 vaccine as Turkovac, currently in Phase 3 clinical trial.

The vaccination development programme began at the Ankara City Hospital with the participation of Erdogan via videoconference, as he watched a volunteer receive the vaccine, local media reported.

"With this vaccine… Turkey is now opening the doors of a new era," Erdogan said, adding that everyone over the age of 18 will have been covered by the vaccination programme in a few weeks.

He said that while Turkey increased efforts in immunising its population - vaccinating around one million daily - with jabs imported from Germany and China, the new Turkovac vaccines would help control any spread in the future.

"It is not clear how long this disease will go on and how much mutation it will go through. It is critical that we have our own vaccine against this disease."

Turkey currently administers the Chinese Sinovac and American Pfizer vaccines. It also authorised the use of Russian Sputnik V, eligible for those over the age of 25.

PS the only downside Erdovac makes you allergic to alchol and high intrest rates LOL ...

Why has it been that most of the UK folk have been eager to get vaccinated & yet, been struggling for the uptake in other countries?

Possibly because we're all desperate to get out of a smallish island for a break? Schengen areas have no border controls and once on mainland Europe you can just keep going. . . .

When are people going to wake up!

..."MSPs have agreed to extend emergency measures prompted by the Covid-19 pandemic until March 2022"........MSPs could then make a further extension of six months, to September 2022, without passing a new law"....

..."saying that some temporary provisions may be made permanent"...

So much for a vaccine giving you back your freedom.

Russia warns of 'explosive' virus surge

Extract:
Russia warned on June 23 of an "explosive" spread of the Delta coronavirus variant in the country that was made worse by a sluggish vaccination campaign leading to rapidly rising infections and deaths.

Citing increases in cases of coronavirus in all Russian regions, Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova called for stronger restrictive measures and speeding up of inoculations.

"Last week the death rate linked to COVID increased by 21.3 percent compared to previous months," Golikova said, as the country records thousands of new cases and hundreds of deaths every day
