Good News ....

Covid: Missing UK person carrying Brazilian variant found, Public Health England confirms

And even better he had been Quarantining during the time they were looking... so no spread of this terrible easily transmissible variant ... A lesson to our Govt on stricter measure on incoming ...

"The best evidence is that this person stayed at home and there is no evidence of onward transmission but as a precaution we are putting more testing in in Croydon where they live to minimise the possibility of spread," he added.

Officials have been scrambling for several days to find the individual who, according to the PHE did not complete their test registration card when entering the UK so their contact details are absent.

Boris might have to follow Turkish Govt, after his measly 1% pay offer to healthcare workers LOL ..... seriously though .. surprised on the Turkish Govts action, it seems it is not a new declaration but a renewal .

The Turkish Ministry of Health declared that the resignation requests of healthcare workers will not be accepted 'for whatever reason' with the circular sent to the health directorates of 81 provinces.

The circular said "The requests of the personnel who request to resign (resign) in this process will not be accepted"

But still 1000 resigned. Health workers and doctors. I thought I'd posted about this month ago..

So did the EU put all its eggs into AstraZeneca pharmaceutical basket or what? The same vaccine that they put the fear of Christ into people over its ability. The same vaccine that the blocked sending to Australia. The same vaccine that they’re now begging for from America.

There should’ve been great momentum on these vaccines everywhere, I even border on them being made compulsory (where available). I’ve heard the experts on many occasions saying, nobody is safe until everyone is safe & I believe them.

Looks like football fans in Scotland have forgotten there's a virus......

Police Scotland are urging football fans not to gather in Glasgow today following Rangers’ Scottish Premiership league title win.

Just seen the ministry's figures for today. No increase, you just don't know who to believe when there is conflicting information from the same office.

Dr Fahrettin Koca published these charts on his Twitter account, not sure if they're available on a website, with the following (translation)....

Our provinces with the highest rate of incidence among 100,000 population in the last week: Sinop, Kilis, Samsun, Amasya and Edirne. The most declining provinces are: Ordu, Bolu, Trabzon, Nevşehir and Karaman. Let's put all our provinces in the blue category by following the measures together.

Spike in coronavirus cases worries experts

Full Story

Extract:
A steep rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in most of Turkey’s 81 provinces and scenes of crowded streets and restaurants over the weekend have prompted experts to issue warnings as the country moved to a controlled normalization phase.

The number of coronavirus cases per 100,000 people increased in all but 16 provinces between Feb. 27 and March 5 compared with the previous week, showed a map Health Minister Fahrettin Koca posted on Twitter.

Istanbul, which was once the epicenter of the outbreak, the capital Ankara and the western province of İzmir were among those provinces which saw a rise in infections within a space of one week.

The number of cases per 100,000 people increased to around 112 from 89.9 in Istanbul while Ankara saw infections rise to 55 from 39.8 and in İzmir cases climbed to 66 from 53.

Increases in cases, and that is before we allow tourists back to Turkey. IMHO they have opened up too early.
