What do you expect with idiots running the country with a open door policy with no testing on entry. And putting the ill back into care homes.

Bloomberg has a Tracker to show who is injecting what into whom. It seems to put UK in the lead. Scroll down for the interactive map:

Does anyone know where the EU supply is going?

The table at the bottom of the Bloomberg page lists EU separately from Germany, Spain, Italy, France etc.

Turkey’s COVID-19 vaccination goes on at full speed

Full Story

Extract:
Turkey’s COVID-19 vaccination performance has surpassed many other countries that have been practicing vaccination for weeks.

Since Jan. 13, when the first vaccination was conducted, over 800,000 health personnel have been vaccinated against the virus in Turkey and vaccination efforts continue without a pause, especially for prioritized groups.

EU's vaccination

The course of the vaccination process in the EU, which began in late December, is not living up to the expectations.

Although BioNTech/Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were granted approval and distributed among the EU countries, the targeted number of vaccines was not achieved due to a lack of personnel and logistical problems.

And yet more......

Sussex Police
Officers issued 120 fines over the weekend to people flouting Covid19 regulations.

The fines were given for gatherings inside, such as a group of 6 in a beach hut. One couple drove 88 miles to a Sussex beauty spot for fresh air.

Norfolk Police
More than 60 people have been fined for breaching lockdown rules since Friday (15 January 2021) while 82 people have received warnings.
Fines were given for a number of reasons, including three people who had travelled from London to Norwich.

The WHO are of the opinion that the wealthier Nations are stockpiling vaccines & other countries are vaccinating the young first and not the elderly/vulnerable.
Can any politician stand up and say, give the vaccine to others before looking after their own citizens?

How can the WHO make the claim of stockpiling when in every country vaccine demand exceeds supply. Their point should be that some governments have spread their risk with contract options which exceed their ultimate demand. Once UK Oxford vaccine production is geared to keep pace with UK demand then it’s logical that government options with other drug manufacturers should be offered to the WHO.

I think Jearden what they are getting at is, some rich countries have stock that could vaccinate thier poulation 3 times over ,whilst poor countries because of this overstocking , wont get access to vaccine till as late as 2022 .... they say we are an interconected world so to rid it of the Pandemic we can't employ Vaccine Nationalism ....

But which countries do you think are holding stock?

I think it’s still “early days” over this virus & the vaccines, even though the virus seems to have been here for years or that’s how it feels to me.
A suicidal move for a Government to start vaccinating another country before its own is mastered.
The WHO bods are not elected like politicians are.
I believe though that there is already some form of donation scheme involving countries & the WHO, could be monies for the WHO themselves to make purchases.

Maybe China should dish out their vaccine freely to the less well off countries!!!

Well for one but many more ... Canada has ordered enough vaccine to vaccinate their population five times over.... whilst poor waiting till 2022

and not only WHO making it known but, the Red Cross , Oxfam, Amnesty etc etc

An unfulfilled order is not stock. Canada is suffering like many from shortage of supply.

Worth pointing out that ordering vaccines is not the same as being in possession of them. All countries were putting orders in prior to the vaccines being passed and distributed.
I think the EUs portfolio on vaccines includes about 10 different brands & as yet most of them haven't hit the criteria required for market.
