You've got next to no chance of getting a job there unless you work for one of the travel companies.

Its the old problem of getting a work permit - which is virtually impossible. You can work for a UK based travel company as they have an agreement which allows Brits to work for up to six months a year as reps etc. However, as you will see on other threads, the task of getting a work permit is long, hard, costly and usually unsuccessful. Sorry if thats a bit negative but its accurate.

Same story I'm afraid. The legal answer is no work permit = no job. However, you will find Brits/Non-Turks working in bars, shops etc - and you will hear stories of them being reported and worse case scenario being deported. The question is "Is it worth the risk?" Businesses also face large fines for employing illegal workers so some are being more careful. You could obviously apply to the major travel operators for holiday rep jobs for next year if its the travel industry you prefer.

Russell, to be a builder in Turkey you must have served time as a : waiter, barman, fieldworker, boatman, driver, soldier, gardener etc. and must be prepared at a drop of a turban to be so once again.

Last year in alanya i was in the Ikstabul towel shop . I'd been in a few times two nice ladies worked there They helped me choose bedspreads bathrobes ect . has i sat haveing apple tea in walked 2 policemen Both ladies were escorted from the shop under protest . The owner told me the ladies were Russian and had no work permit . They were sent back to Russia even though they owned an apartment in mahmutler .

So take the advice given by others on here its for your own good
no one wants to hear of you being deported Diane
