BREXIT - What now ?
What changes, good or not so good, can we expect with Brexit ?

As it's a Turkish orientated forum, any big changes here?

Stirling dropping will help sellers but hit folk whose income is in Stirling,

Visa stuff should see no big changes

Flight costs could see increases but will probably be evened out by the heavy discounting going on at present.

A lower sterling will not help a struggling Turkish Tourist industry.

Any thoughts for Turkey or other areas

Re: What now ?

The way I look at it , the decent people of England have stuck 2 fingers up and grown a pair of decently sized balls saying they are fed up of being treated like dirt by the elite
I imagine there will be good and bad points but cameron is not a happy bunny and if he stays , him and osborne will want their pound of flesh

Re: What now ?

My view ...UK will be punished harder than planned to send a message to other countries .
I then think a game of dominoes through Europe over the next 5 years with counurses others than Greece going to the vote .

Now jimmy cranky will destabilise UK with wanting Scotland in ,anything to break away jimmy

Re: What now ?

Those living in Turkey on pensions paid in Sterling will lose out 10 to 20% of the conversion value, straight away,
Back here the price of gas, electric, fuel will increase as they are pegged to the dollar, foodstuffs bought in Euros will likely rise in relation to the value of the Euro.
Inward investment will be difficult during the 2 years negotiation period.
Lots of austerity on the horizon I fear.

Re: What now ?

Scotland is now in a unique position. We can stick with the UK for a year or two, see how things pan out. If it all goes badly we will have another independence referendum, adopt the Euro, back into the European market and Robert is your mother’s brother. It’s a win win result for Scotland.

Re: What now ?

Never have I been so ashamed or alarmed at the actions of the British ! Hold on tight people this will get bumpy.... Wonder how long it will be before we wake-up and begin the vilification & blame of our new intrepid band of 'leaders' Gove, Johnson & Farage. You would think people would learn after they were 'conned' in the last national election....

The only silver lining is that 'Cam the Con' has resigned !

Wouldn't Scotland have to acquire statehood first?

Re: What now ?

'And today honesty, decency and belief in nation, I think now is going to win.
'And we will have done it without having to fight, without a single bullet being fired, we'd have done it by damned hard work on the ground.'

Utterly tasteless. How low can that man sink?
