“Well”,here we go again with the British tourists leaving their brains behind.l see some sights during the peak season that makes me so angry.
I saw a child in a pram just the other day late at night amongst all the loud music and crowds, must’ve made the baby very irritable. The mother was doing her exotic dancing act, exposing her neither regions to all the males in the bar. While grandmother[l assume is granny] was encouraging her to perform in a sexual way.
But what got me was this young girl[she couldn’t be more then 17] brought the baby to the disco knowing full well the noise will be loud. Why didn’t she find a babysitter.Lf you cannot find a babysitter then she shouldn’t have gone to such a loud place.
The child should always come first in my view.
What sights do you see now the tourist season has kicked off, that really annoys you

The people that really annoy me are those that go to a restaurant or bar with their children and let them run riot 'because they're on holiday'. Do they suddenly turn into little angels when they're holiday's over. I dont think so.

What annoys me is seeing young babies and children sat in pushchairs with no protection from the sun!!!!!Ive seen a few pushchairs being pushed about in the blazing heat with a poor little one obviously frying.!!!!!

Then the parent is wonderring why the child is irritable and crying.!!!!

Hugs Maggie xx

Maybe there is a case you know for Sharia law in certain circumstances - these poor children have no chance at all and will grow up a mirror image of their pathetic parents...

Yes C, obviously tongue in cheek, but yes the parents have a lot to answer for. We are born with nothing and learn from day 1.

It really annoys me when tourists wander around town, well away from the beach areas, in their swimming gear. Bikinis and trunks are for the beach, not the supermarket or the shops.
It doesn,t take much to throw on a T.Shirt or a wrap.
Why should other people be subjected to their over ripe wobbly bits - yuk.
(Not to mention we are in a muslim country and over exposure of the body is considered offensive)

I remember being in one of the local bars one evening sitting beside a table full of Brits - one of them was saying that very thing (re respect in a Muslim country). One of the women remarked "f*ck them - we've paid our money and it's our holiday".

That about sums it up for some ignorant people who neither should have a passport nor children....

Holiday definition; a day on which one is exempt from work

NOT a day on which one is exempt from showing any self respect to oneself or others.

Maybe this should be displayed on airport corridors!!!!

Cover up, too covered up, 40 lashes for wearing trousers, wear what you like in some countries, in others never mind the standard dress code of that country, when in Rome .........

Double standards spring to mind!!

By viewing the behaviour of the few tourists that ruin it for the rest of the decent tourists from Britian, has been lost through greed and selfish behaviour. This could be caused by being influenced from a benefit system that has no interest in promoting moral, but only to encourage the one’s that have a immoral behaviour in our society,by rewarding them with taxpayers money.
With the rude nasty behaviour that we have today from the parents of today.Tend to push what is right and what is wrong to one side, because they just cannot be bothered in bringing their kids up to respect others and the environment. They have lost the natural ability to guide the child correctly in teaching the child self respect and morals are the best policy to clean living.
They bring this type of thinking with them on holiday, which l find so embarrassing and shameful, because the immoral tourist with no respect to themselves and others reflects this on the decent well behaved British tourists as well.Where the locals of that country must think we are all that way inclined to behave in a rude manner.

to Turkish people we are all ''tourists'' regardless of how long we live here (unless you speak the lingo) therefore badly behaved people here are our representatives, which is very embarrassing
On the other hand ive witnessed some badly behaved ex pats who live here and spend the day drinking and grumbling with other expats (customers of Eden Bar excluded where they behave impeccably ..apart from the singing Scot who has a great voice even though he just sings ''ye tak the high road etc..'' and i help him with the chorus )

Thankfully Alanya is too big a place for any one nationality to stand out,...

hmm ..apart from rude Germans who unashamedly break wind loudly wherever they are...brings to mind that famous Shakespearean verse....''wherever you may be let the wind blow free..in church or chapel let it rattle''.....at least we are too refined to do that in company.

We are of course assuming that the young lady in question was holidaying on the benefits system !
she could have been an overworked Nurse letting her hair down, or an underpaid carer ! but no, my money is on mine and others tax £s paying for her riotous holiday. If this appears off thread I apologise but I do believe strongly that for 20 years the system has modelled the society and behaviour we now see, and respect doesnt figure high up in that system, we are now in a 3rd generation benefits society (actually it sounds like the 4th generation was with her)

Helicopters for under fire armed forces - no...flat screen tv, wireless computer systems and satelite tv for people who have never contributed - yes

what is telling to me is that bobs post today has already got people commenting. it just shows that although different posts, basically its the same . arrogant with atitude teens bringing up kids who will be the role model of their parents .god help us. and unfortunatly i dread what it will be like in another 20 years .cant do what our parents did ,ie a smack for being naughty. no musnt do that .so they grow up to think they rule not you.and then of course that means no respect for their parents , definitely no respect for anyone else.unfortunaly one or two doogoders who have changed the rules ,have now turned this country into kids rule ok.please dont get me wrong i know there are situations where one idiot beats his kids up , but im talking about 99 percent of the sensible parents. all i know is kids had more respect for their elders years ago and now they dont.and going back to bobs story, yes it makes me so ashamed .drinking ,being sick and loutish behaviour, no wonder other countries dread the British on holls. trouble is however polite we are to make up for the idiots, its not always easy for them to realise we are not all the same.to me as a drinker for many years, its to enjoy , and a place to socialise with friends for a chat and laugh, today breed want to throw shots down their throat as quick as they can to get p...ed.then thinking how big they are . in my days my friends would have belittled me if after a few shots i was on the floor.now they all think how clever they are.

I too am embarrassed by some of the antics of some tourists, however I think we should not blame only the British. When I talk to Turks about this they say they find the Russian tourists the most offensive and I must say that when in Egypt recently they were the one's who were very scantily clad and drawing attention to themselves. I have just returned from Datca where there are very few Brits. In the evenings we tend to sit and watch the world pass by. It is very common for Turks to take their young children out until very late at night and we noticed a fair few bad tempered, tired Turkish children and babies in bars with loud music. Also the children of bar owners are allowed to help out in the bar until late at night. As for skimpy clothes, there were loads of Turkish girls and women parading around in short clothes and skimpy tops. I was amazed at how liberal some Turkish parents were with their children. My son and his friends, all 20 were out with a group of Turkish youngsters every night. The girls were from 17-20 and were allowed out until the early hours of the morning without chaperones. They have all been friends for 3 years and the girls have been allowed out very late on each visit. They are families from Izmir and Istanbul and maybe the children from families in big cities have a more liberal upbringing.

These people - if you can call them that should come with a public health warning.

Britian has been searching for the weapons of mass destruction for years, but have not come up with anything, because they have been looking in the wrong place.
The one's that has the mannerism of a Baboon that doesn't know their behind from their brains are capable of destroying a society in one year
