I'm sure there are naive folk out there that think it makes him more human and less remote. Being lectured to by some lawyer or part of the great and good who get on the gravy train from one well paid sinecure to another is not attractive for the working classes.
Doesn't answer my question though. We all know he's a waster etc, but there are still voters choosing tories because they can't stomach the alternatives.
It'll be very interesting to see what happens in the Hartlepool by-election, and if Starmer has turned the tide. Don't we live in interesting times?
