this article is an insight into some of the families resposible for children working the streets. ..i find the title of the article a bit disturbing.

Oh dear its so so sad , If only there were jobs and a sensable living wage for the parents i,m certain this problem will go away , But while some earn a pittance in the summer others have no job at all , they live in desperation from day to day , and so many can't afford the school uniforms etc so the child is forced to take care of itself and its family , I useualy carry some choc bars or simlar to give instead of money , or get them a burger , I don't want to encourage this by the parents , but can't see a child go hungry , Its no good Turkey sweeping these things under the carpet , instead of fines they should help the parents and bring in a realistic benifits system ......Diane
