Attempt to kill Hitler.
I believe you will find that although the British had many opportunities to kill Hitler but decided because of his temperamental temper and the way he was confusing his own people the British government decided to let him live a while longer, fortunately though the war ended before it was necessary to kill him.

At least that is what I once read some time ago.

Attempt to kill Hitler.
The thinnest book in the world before Germany started to lose was the list of Germans who did not back Hitler; the thinnest book after the war was the list of those admitting to supporting Hitler.

Attempt to kill Hitler.
I too also wish the attempt had been successful and earlier and it would have saved many lives then and Today.

Today as there might not of been the formation of the artificial state of ISRAEL which is so out of step with its Arab neighbours.

The Balfour declaration of 1917 might of just stayed a declaration and not implemented.
No holocaust immigration quotas to find land for .

Can you imagine how many lives would of been saved both Jews and Arabs .

Then countries around the world would have had just communities of people of the Jewish faith hopefully living in peace.

A double whammy .

The film Valkyrie (2008) starring Tom Cruise as the would-be assassin tells this story.

Quite a good film. Has been on TV a few times now.

Who fınanced hıtler? They are the ones wıth the most blood on theır hands.

Ford and General Motors profited from the war and were paid reparations by the US government after the war for bomb damage.

Nazis in the attic
"After the cessation of hostilities, GM and Ford demanded reparations from the U.S. Government for wartime damages sustained by their Axis facilities as a result of Allied bombing. By 1967 GM had collected more than $33 million in reparations and Federal tax benefits for damages to its warplane and motor vehicle properties in formerly Axis territories . . . Ford received a little less than $1 million, primarily as a result of damages sustained by its military truck complex at Cologne."

Profits über Alles! American Corporations and Hitlers
"When Americans landed in Normandy in June 1944 and captured their first German trucks, they discovered that these vehicles were powered by engines produced by American firms such as Ford and General Motors."

Corporate Deals with Nazi Germany
"these firms retained the economic and political power to affect the shape of governmental relations both within and between these nations in a manner which maximized corporate global profits. In short, there were private governments unaccountable to the citizens of any country yet possessing tremendous influence over the course of war and peace in the world."

"GM and Ford were vital components of the Nazi war effort. German Ford was the second largest producer of trucks for the Nazi military. GM’s plants built thousands of bomber and jet fighter propulsion systems for the Luftwaffe — while at the same time profiting from production of aircraft engines for the U.S. Army Air Corps."

In 1938, Henry Ford "accepted the highest medal that Nazi Germany could award a foreigner, the Grand Cross of the German Eagle."

Attempt to kill Hitler.
An intelligent OP. In stark contrast to recent comments made by allegedly intelligent people in Turkey -

Yildiz Tilbe, the Turkish/Kurdish popstar wrote on her Twitter account last week “May God bless Hitler. He did far less (than he should have).” And that: “It will be Muslims again who will bring the end of Jews.”
To which the honourable mayor of Ankara, Melih Gökçek replied: “I applaud you.”

Some people obviously can't tell the difference between a person who follows a specific religion, and a government. Though when such comments are made in the west (generalising about 'Muslims' when one atrocity happens) Turkish authorities and/or their followers are often the first to scream "Islamaphobia!".
