İ was reading some articles about Ottoman Cuisine when i came across an excerpt from a book from the memoirs of Leyla Saz (1845-1936) who was brought up in the Harem of Cırağan Palace.
She and her sister were there because her father was the Chief Surgeon to the İmperial household.
