    Brexit going forward

I read today, Nissan warning of the dangers to their Sunderland factory if there is a no deal with the EU. They also warn that if costs rise because of tarrifs it will make producing in the UK difficult. Sunderland voted to leave I believe, good call.

Your English bank account could be closed if you don't have a UK address after Brexit

As the heading says dose anyone know anything about this? Or is it just a talking point.

    Brexit going forward

Well, the UK is now in the departure lounge awaiting the big flight to ventures unknown in 12 months or so time. March will see the EU discussions taking place and therefore not a lot will be coming out of great value I suppose. Discussions are already taking place regarding deals with the rest...

    Brexit Guide

Brexit: All you need to know about the UK leaving the EU. What does Brexit mean? It is a word that is used as a shorthand way of saying the UK leaving the EU - merging the words Britain and exit to get Brexit, in the same way as a possible Greek exit from the euro was dubbed Grexit in the past...

    Brexit Jokes

An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman walk into a bar. The Englishman wanted to go so they all had to leave. “Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” "Wow this passport's fancy. Must have...

    Middle-Class Brexit Anxiety Disorder

From Politico: An appraisal of why the middle-class are getting so bent out of shape by Brexit. They are starting to suffer from a real anxiety disorder - mental health stuff - they are becoming crazed by their inability to change the inevitable, and how their sense of superiority is screwing...

Re: BREXIT - What now ?

Re: BREXIT - What now ? Moved from Trump thread as more appropriate to Brexit issues I think as a Brexiteer you should be careful what you say 're cash and contributing If Remain London held onto their cash the Brexiteer North of England would need to resort to eating grass and their ferrets

    Countdown Timer For Brexit

Can we have a countdown timer for Brexit on the top of the TLF page? Example: Perhaps people could post what they will be doing to celebrate on the great day; I´m not sure my Turkish neighbours would understand a street party, but I am sure I can...

Sarkozy and the 2nd Brexit referendum

Just loving this: It?s time to tell Turkey ?your place is in Asia?: Sarkozy - EUROPE 1) He conveniently forgot that although Turkey does have part of its borders within Europe, Cyprus is sat right in the middle of Asia! (But they aren't Muslims so it doesn't matter). 2) So don't worry...

    Brexit explained...

This is pretty good. It was explained by a Brit who voted to leave the EU. Imagine having a partner, who doesn't really like you, but is controlling, condescending and happy to take your money. They tell you what you can and cannot do, what you can buy and who from. They...

So the world as we know it didn`t come to an end post BREXIT. In fact not a lot has changed. Trying to get a builder/fencer to do some work which will cost upwards of four figures and some. Too busy, earliest start I can get is august. Kitchen required, earliest fitting after design and...

BREXIT: What is Scotland playing at?

Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, appears to be trying everything to block the will of the people. Amongst others, she has firstly threatened a new independence referendum. However, following the result of the Scottish referendum on 19 September 2014 she said: "I accept that verdict of...

    BREXIT - What now ?

What changes, good or not so good, can we expect with Brexit ? As it's a Turkish orientated forum, any big changes here? Stirling dropping will help sellers but hit folk whose income is in Stirling, Visa stuff should see no big changes Flight costs could see increases but will probably be...

    Sterling and Brexit

I know that the answer is probably "How long is a piece of string?" The Pound is currently weakening against the Lira. As I understand currency values there is something called parity between major currencies such as the Pound, Dollar and Euro. Is the pound losing value against these...
