    Water Bill Online

Have you tried this site - very useful and although they charge a fee for paying the bill - it is minimal. Not sure if they cover Fethiye - but they cover Mugla Water?

    Size of Tank on Roof

Is a 100 ltr chrome water tank (single tank system)with built in electric immersion heater sufficient for 2 people in a small apartment for holiday use 3 or 4 times a year? I know it is quite a small tank but for 2 people but I am also thinking it might be more efficient to heat by the solar...

Question UK Netflix & Amazon Prime in Turkey

Ahh thank you - we already have Yabanci 99******** numbers and tax numbers and old residency books from 5 years ago but I'm told by the internet shop they are no longer enough - you have to have residency from 2021 to get permanent internet in your home.

Question UK Netflix & Amazon Prime in Turkey

The chap at the internet shop did say - use a friend's details - but not sure about that as we are new to the area and don't like asking people I hardly know. Using a phone SIM is likely a similar cost to the top up for the VINN - I think 35GB for £12 will do us for a month and by then I'll...

Question UK Netflix & Amazon Prime in Turkey

Just been told by the local internet man (via WhatsApp) that the rules changed this year and we can’t have permanent internet unless we have a residence permit. We only intend to take 6-8 weeks holiday x 3 times a year and can manage the 90/180 as we are retired so wasn’t going to take out...

Question UK Netflix & Amazon Prime in Turkey

Great - thank you - I can survive for 6-8 weeks at a time on Netflix, Echo Dot and the BBC News Channel and a few English language channels on the Turkish digibox. Incidentally I noticed last Saturday at 3pm - the Premier League was on “live” on the aspor channel for free - it was Leeds v...

Hi - if I was to take my firestick and plug it in to the TV - will I still get the above or do I still need a vpn? Thank you.

    Coronavirus

When it’s so fast moving (up or down) it seems irresponsible to me for the media to publish with such a dramatic headline these figures - a week after the week they are reporting - when we can all see from daily figures it is reducing. Surely Infection rates and cases are inextricably linked...

UK state pension worst in the developed world

Has anyone seen a figure for the amount “saved” by circa 100,000 people receiving their state pension dying early due to Covid or more realistically based on excess deaths? If you work on 80,000 excess deaths in 2020 with 75,000 being of pensionable age then that is probably £750,000,000 per...

Fascinating link this - thank you so much for invigorating my evening. I’m a figures man me - always loved stats - so just done some quick mental arithmetic from BARB ( I might be Northern but no pencils behind my ear! ) - anyway the conclusion is that GB News Channel did lose 20% of their...

I agree totally - add me to the list !!! Just done some research - quite surprisingly they’ve not only had a big big surge since Nigel or maybe TLF started promoting it BUT on a serious note over 40m video viewings on twitter + growing online figures on other platforms and almost a third of...

Whilst this man is still the “kingmaker” - there is no future for the Labour Party. The article is a year old but still worth a read. https://www.express.co.uk/comment/columnists/leo-mckinstry/1218925/Len-McCluskey-labour-party-general-election-defeat
